MUCC Men's 2023/24 season has come to an end, with losses for the 3rd and 4th Grade teams in week 1 of finals.

In the 3rd XI, MUCC were set 297 to win by Fitzroy Doncaster at Schramms Reserve, however they were bowled out for 90 in response, with only Tim Young providing some resistance to the Fitzroy bowlers (48). Krish Kumar was the pick of the bowlers on day 1, snaring 3/65 (19) to cap off a strong first year in which he took 37 wickets for the club.

In the 4th XI, MUCC were set 294 to win by Kingston Hawthorn, and fell 52 runs short in the chase. Harrison Preiss (54*) and Captain Shenan Dias (52) were the only two to register half centuries, with regular wickets ultimately costing the team in their chase. Wickets were split evenly on day 1, with the main highlight being an incredible run out from the skipper (watch below).

Thanks to everyone who supported MUCC Men throughout the 2023/24 season. We now look forward to pre-season and reaching finals again in 2024/25!
